In the Spring 2018 issue of PHOTONews, Take Your Seat was honoured with the cover feature story. This was the first time the journey of our director’s chair was shared with thousands of readers. That article took us to Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and Canada.
We use our chair to show how beautiful each country we experience is but then link that beauty to Canada’s own. The same chair that celebrated Canada’s 150th, traveled throughout Japan, Hong Kong and Turkey.
We have created a new series called Take Your Seat Together and have a major exhibition of the Japanese work at the Prince Takamado Gallery in Tokyo, which will continue until July 10th to cover the G20 Summit in Japan. Additional exhibitions are being created this summer for Hong Kong, Macau and Turkey.
This fall, Indigo will be printing and distributing our first book. In short, our chair has been quite busy since the PHOTONews article.
