Think Tank BackLight 18L review

The “BackLight 18L” backpack by ThinkTank is truly versatile. As someone new to the world of photography but passionate about the outdoors, this bag quickly won me over. I particularly appreciate backpacks for their multiple configurations and robustness.

The bag:

  • Access to the main compartment from the back without removing the bag, thanks to the sturdy waist belt.

  • The central compartment is adjustable with dividers according to your needs and equipment.

  • Section for a laptop up to 13 inches.

  • 5L storage capacity for clothing, snacks, and other items.
  • The bag is designed with durable and water-resistant materials, including a rain cover for extra weather protection.

Pockets and compartments:

  • The bag is equipped with pockets for all the accessories needed for a day of photography: a pocket for keys and a phone, a pocket for a laptop, two side pockets for a tripod or water bottle (with the option to secure an additional tripod at the center).

Sturdy and durable zippers:

  • The zippers are designed to withstand external elements like branches, rock abrasion, and wear.
  • Each zipper is designed for easy access, even with gloves.

Comfort and performance:

  • Padded shoulder straps and waist belt for all-day comfort.
  • Padded and ventilated back panel to keep you cool.

Favorite feature:

The ability to access your gear while keeping the bag on is truly amazing. There are plenty of compartments and pockets.

Drawback:

This backpack is not very compact, but for me, it gets the job done since it’s an outdoor bag and I always carry too many accessories. As a photography beginner, it holds everything I need. A professional might reach the maximum capacity quite quickly.

I am very satisfied with “BackLight 18L” backpack by ThinkTank, and I think it will accompany me for a long time on my adventures, races coverage and expeditions.

Thank you to Amplis for giving me the opportunity to work with ThinkTank products.

For the studio:
I try to improve the quality of my products every year. Like many others, I used to film with my phone for several years. I quickly reached the limits of that device. Last year, I got myself a Sony ZVE-10, and this spring, a Tamron 17-70 lens. I don’t really have professional lighting in my workshop—just some LED garage lights on the ceiling and a small USB accent light from Amazon.

I’ll need to optimize the lighting, mainly to avoid being blinded or having light reflections in my glasses or on my forehead.

I have a standard tripod, but I’d like to add an overhead view with another camera. I have a GoPro, which I’d like to use for new angles. So, I need a tripod for the overhead view or for shots of the workbench.

I don’t know how interested you are in contributing, but I’m open to anything you can offer.

  • Lighting
  • Tripods
  • Filters, lenses, camera cages
  • Maintenance equipment

I have basic and rustic equipment, and I’d like to improve the quality of my channel.
I’m new to the world of cameras, but I enjoy discovering new things.

Thank you for your involvement, hoping to meet your expectations.

Have a great day!
