Thanks to Amplis Foto’s generous support the Print 4 Ukraine fundraiser was a resounding success and raised $20,000 for various established and grassroots Ukrainian organizations during these incredibly tough winter months. We are nearing the one year anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion into Ukraine and unfortunately the longer this invasion lasts the more help Ukraine will need. The money raised in this fundraiser goes a long way especially in the organizations we supported which have deep local knowledge and long-standing relationships with Ukraine. The fundraiser was led by photographers Kyler Zeleny, Anya Chibis, Marta Iwanek, Becca Gilgan and Eugen Sakhnenko and supported by 58 documentary, fine art, and commercial photographers from across Canada who donated their images, in addition to Ukrainian colleagues from across Ukraine. Smokestack Studios, based in Hamilton, Ontario, donated all printing costs. We shipped the incredibly beautiful prints across Canada as well as internationally to the US, UK, Australia and the Netherlands among others. News about the Print 4 Ukraine fundraiser was published in the Globe and Mail, Global News and the Edmonton Journal. The fundraiser was also generously supported by Edward Burtynsky, Story Power Media, Worker Bee Supply and Stawnichy’s.
All images were printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag ® Ultra Smooth.
