On November 30th, 2019, the Niagara Falls Camera Club held its annual Help Portrait day at St Andrews United Church in the Falls.
Thirty families were posed and photographed by this avid group of amateurs. The families were recruited through Project Share, the local food bank in Niagara Falls.
Framed prints were given free of charge to the families, thanks to the generosity of private and business donors such as Amplis Foto, who supplied Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308 paper to print the 8x10s in conjunction with Frederick’s Foto Source, who printed all the portraits.
A great day was had by all and the photos supplied to the recipients will go a long way towards brightening their holidays.
Help Portrait connects photographers, hairstylists and makeup artists all around the world to find people in need, take their picture, print their picture and then deliver it—free of charge, each December. Help Portrait is about GIVING pictures, not taking pictures.
