Meet the hähnel ProCube3 – The Ultimate Charger for Photographers

Big news for photographers who rely on fast, efficient charging—hähnel has just launched the ProCube3 Twin Charger! 🚀 As the latest upgrade to the hugely popular ProCube2, this new version brings even more power, versatility, and convenience to your workflow.

What’s New with ProCube3?

If you loved the ProCube2, you’re going to be even more impressed with the ProCube3. In response to new USB-C charging regulations, hähnel has packed in some serious upgrades:

Faster Charging – Now you can charge two camera batteries in the same time it used to take for one!
USB Type-C Input – A modern connection for better compatibility and ease of use.
Fresh New Look – The Canon version comes in red, and the Nikon version in gold, giving them a bold, updated aesthetic that matches the camera systems’ colours.
More Power Options – No need for a dedicated adapter! Use any 30W or higher USB-C adapter, like the one from your laptop or smartphone. (Lower wattage adapters will still work but charge more slowly.)

Same Great Features, Now Even Better

The ProCube3 keeps all the premium features that made its predecessor a must-have:

🔹 High-End LCD Display – Get real-time updates on battery percentage and charging capacity (in mAh).
🔹 Intelligent Fast IC Charge Control – Safe, optimized charging for your gear.
🔹 USB-A Output – Charge your phone, headphones, or other USB devices on the go.
🔹 Wireless Battery Plates – Same plates as ProCube2. Compatible with both original and third-party camera batteries.

ProCube3 in Use

As soon as I had a ProCube2 on my desk, it never left except when I travelled or went to trade shows. Hahnel addressed my two concerns when they released ProCube3: USB-C charging instead of a bulky adapter brick and a proper colour for my Nikon system.

When I travel, I have to bring cables, chargers and adapters for all my electronics – laptop, DSLR and mirrorless cameras, GoPro, DJI drone, headphones and of course my smartphone. ProCube3 has allowed me to cut down on charger bricks needed as all my devices either charge in the ProCube3 (camera batteries) or via USB-C. I use my laptop power supply or TetherTools ONsite PD charger or TetherTools 150W PD Battery Pack to power ProCube3 and plug in a USB-A to C cable that will charge all of my other devices. This greatly reduces how many “extras” I have to bring to charge my gear. In studio, I simply plug ProCube3 directly into my computer.

I love the ability to charge 2 batteries at once, as I often have two cameras on the go at the same time. The display shows me how much charge each battery has and the capacity in each battery. ProCube3 also charges faster as current USB-C chargers are more powerful than the charging cube from ProCube2.

With ProCube2, I was slightly jealous of the Fujifilm version with its signature green or the snazzy orange of the Sony version – mainly because the Nikon version was a boring light grey. The new gold colour matches my Nikon glass with it’s gold ring and gold “N”. I’m sure other Nikon shooters will also appreciate that.

Available Now in Canada!

The hähnel ProCube3 is available now in six models: Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, and Olympus.
