I was pleased to test a set of Kenko PRO1D Close-up lenses on both a DSLR and a Micro Four Thirds cameras. I was very impressed with the results -especially on my OLYMPUS MFT camera. This set comes complete with an impressive carrying case.
The close-up lens set I tested was 52mm Kenko PRO1D+ Instant Action Close-up #1+3, These close-up lenses are amazing and easy use to use. The coupling ring makes any lens (plastic or metal) easily accept the magnetic close-up lens or lenses with the correct filter size (or smaller). The magnetic close-up lens easily fit without trying to match up the threads in the field which can be extremely frustrating. The magnetic aspect of these lenses are always strong enough to stay on while in use. (They were always taken off when not in use.) The quality of the glass is also excellent! No noticeable aberrations were found in either lens. I will use these excellent lenses on any of my future macro subjects.

Kenko PRO1D+ Instant Action Close-up #1+3
The focus was made for the initial image and the camera was moved to reach the new focus point for each close-up lens.
This series illustrates the close-up lenses used on a OLYMPUS M.30mm F3.5 Macro lens attached to a OLYMPUS E-M1 Mark III body.
To make this transition from this macro lens to the Close-up Lens set I used a 37-52mm step-up ring (from ebay).
If you would like to make the most of a close-up lens set be sure to purchase the largest close-up lens for the camera lens with the largest filter size you will need so that you can use them on smaller lenses using step-up ring(s).

Yes, stacking close-up lenses work great!
The focus was made for the initial image and the camera was moved to reach the new focus point for each close-up lens.
The CANON EF50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro lens will focus closer (to half life-size) but this image will simulate how a standard 50mm lens would function.

Yes, this close-up lens set works on small lenses such as those for Micro Four Thirds Cameras.
The only change I would like to see would be to add grips on the outside of the coupling ring -just in case it gets too tight against the lens. Overall a great product!
