Right after we published last month’s article on photo books, I found out that a book I’ve been working on will be launched very soon. I am very humbled to be included in this project & very excited to finally be able to share this news! My work, along with three other great local photographers, highlights some of the best of Durham Region yearround. A portion of the proceeds from sales of this book go to a great cause!
As part of our ground-breaking “Ontario Four Seasons” 2022 Fall Book Tour, Tagona Press will launch “Durham – A Four Season Region” at the beautiful Brock Street Brewery (Downtown Whitby) on Friday, November 18 & Saturday November 19, 2022 – 11:30 am to 5:30 pm both days.
Tagona is proud to support the wonderful work undertaken by the Durham Hospice/Whitby Board & its ongoing efforts to build this essential community facility. We are donating 25% of the net book proceeds to Durham Hospice Whitby. Brock Street Brewery is generously making its own Hospice donations.
The Durham book features four superb, accomplished regional photographers – Mike McEvoy (Oshawa), Will Prentice (Whitby), Spring Reilly (Uxbridge) and Russell Styles (Oshawa). These artists’ fine work is supplemented by the boundless creative guidance provided by Gary & Joanie McGuffin, internationally recognized for their remarkable conservation photography, beautiful books, the award-winning “Painted Land” documentary film and their appreciation for Canada’s natural world of wonders.
Celebrate with us in Whitby! Come to the Brewery, meet and chat with the photographers, Gary, Joanie, and Bryan Davies, have a look at the other fine Tagona books featured on our Tour and enjoy a beverage! Join common cause with us, Brock Street Brewery and the fine volunteers leading the Hospice project.
Durham – A Four Season Region can be pre-ordered for $45 (including GST) and $40 per book (Including GST) for orders of five or more. We will inscribe your book anyway you might like – a terrific gift.
All pre-orders and other Tour information is available at www.tagonapress.com
Thank you from Tagona Press for supporting Canadian literature, independent Canadian publishing – and good causes!
