This paper is different. While it is always necessary to match the subject matter with the character of the paper, this paper accommodates a wider range of photographic images than the others, largely because it is far less shiny, much less distorting of the original colors and has a lovely warm grey tonality. As well, its thickness and cotton rag substrate give it artistic character.”

It derives from the company’s existing Photo Rag® line, so it’s a premium stock made from 100 percent cotton. At 340gsm, Photo Rag® Metallic is a very heavy paper. It weighs in above Moab’s Slickrock Metallic (300 gsm) and Kodak’s Professional Inkjet Photo Paper Metallic (255 gsm). At .47mm, it’s also a thicker paper than its aforementioned rivals, though most inkjet printers will be able to accommodate it without trouble.

As you’d expect from a high-grade, fine-art paper, the Photo Rag® Metallic is acid- and lignin-free and has no optical brighteners, so you should be assured of its archival endurance. The paper is compatible with both pigment and dye-based inkjet printers, and is sold in several cut-sheet sizes and rolls spanning 17- to 50-inches.”
