Capture Oakville 2014 opens Friday December 5 at 7PM in the main gallery of the Queen Elizabeth Park Community Cultural Centre along with the awards ceremony the same evening.
“We were amazed with the quality of submissions this year,” said Oakville Camera Club President William Smith. “The exhibit will be in the main gallery at Queen Elizabeth Park Community Cultural Centre, it is a premier space for displaying art in Oakville and we’re happy to show here until January 25, 2015.”
Teachers from the Oakville Suzuki Orchestra will be preforming in the gallery from 7PM to 8:15PM and light refreshments will be served.
Along with the opening night of Capture Oakville 2014, the awards will be handed out for the categories of Capture Oakville, Motion, Black and White, Portrait, Film and Polaroid, Tell a Story and Smartphonography.
Queen Elizabeth Park Community Cultural Centre is a community centre, part of the Town of Oakville’s Recreation and Culture Department with a focus on visual and performing arts and is located at 2302 Bridge Road, L6L 2G6.
