Canadian Team Entered in the 2023 World Photographic Cup

WPC

Team Canada is proud to announce our entry into the 2023 World Photographic Cup competition. This unique Olympic style competition not only celebrates the world’s finest photographic art, it fosters the spirit of friendship and cooperation between exceptional artists across the globe.

Our nation’s entry features 20 Canadian photographers within 8 unique categories. The selected photographers represent professionals and emerging artists in all genres of photography. Each produced extraordinary works of photographic art, which successfully navigated multiple rounds of curation to become part of Team Canada. Curators reviewed every submission to whittle down the list to just 24 powerful images. Images that transport you to experience the grandeur of wilderness, to the simple splendour of majestic icebergs or to lose yourself in masterfully crafted digital art.

With participation from 32 nations, the competition is always tight, even so Team Canada Co-Captain Jillian Chateauneuf is undoubtedly excited about this year’s entry, “Last year Canada won a gold medal and I believe once again we have images that could make it to the finals and help propel our country to the WPC podium.”

International judging has just concluded and the World Top 10 images will be announced in January. All gearing up for the big reveal on March 17th, 2023, when the World Photographic Cup will unveil a new collection of visual artistry live from Singapore. The ceremony will recognize outstanding achievements in each of the 8 categories before tallying combined points to present one country, one team, with the World Cup.
