Swiss lighting innovator broncolor is proud to announce the launch of the next generation of professional lighting equipment – the new Satos power pack and Pulso L lamp.
After nearly five years of development, broncolor engineers have created the most advanced lighting system ever, integrating the lamp into the system for a new control experience. During development, performance, flexibility, ease of use and reliability were the highest priorities.
This completely new system features an innovative dual power concept: Satos can be equipped with AC power supplies mixed with high-performance batteries or run only on batteries, depending on the application. This allows the same system to be used in studio and on-location while significantly improving performance.
Satos presents a new way to operate a power pack. Photographers can control Satos by the industry-first industrial grade 5.7” multi-touch display, rotary/push controller, classic buttons, via the bronControl app on smartphones/tablets/computers or through the broncolor Python API for custom solutions. Every parameter can be adjusted to the smallest detail in a way that works for each photographer.
Satos is available in 1600ws and 3200ws versions. Power is adjustable over 11 f-stops on Satos 1600 and 12 f-stops on Satos 3200. This enormous power can be distributed between one and three channels, completely independent of each other. In another industry first, the colour temperature, flash duration, delay or sequence function can be set individually for each channel. Previously, to trigger alternating flashes or other special effects, multiple packs were required. However, with Satos, the alternating functions can be achieved with one power pack, simplifying your studio setup.
Recycle times for Satos range from 0.01s to only 2.4s. Flash durations (t.01) range from 1/100s to 1/5150s whilst Speed Mode enables flash durations as fast as 1/17,000s!! Colour temperature is stabilized to within +/-50K and is adjustable from -300K to +600K (depending on flash mode) per channel.
Satos also features Alternate, Delay and Sequence triggering, which can be integrated with Siros S & Siros L monolights and Scoro E and Scoro S power packs. Satos is an evolution, not a replacement, and fits at the top of the broncolor product line-up. Photographers can easily add Satos to their existing broncolor products. All current broncolor lamps can be used with Satos.
The Pulso L lamp is the perfect partner for Satos. It enables the most convenience thanks to industry first bidirectional communication between the lamp and power pack. All regular settings can be made on the lamp and are synchronized with the entire system in real time. broncolor’s User Experience experts placed the greatest emphasis on making Satos and Pulso L easier to use every day. This means no more walking to the power pack to change the power level or colour temperature or switch to continuous light mode.
Pulso L model lamp is also a 90W continuous light. A unique array of calibrated bi-colour LED emitters allow for colour temperature adjustments from 2800K to 6800K plus a variable green/magenta mix. For fine adjustment of the flash tube/model lamp array within light shapers, the position of the flash tube can be adjusted in and out via a rotary wheel.
