Quebec is an extraordinary playground for photography. I have been documenting this beautiful province from top to bottom for years to produce my book, published by National Geographic in 2018. Beyond the breathtaking landscapes, and the unusual and diverse fauna, the passionate people of the territory inspired my photographic quest. It was self-evident to present their trades when Évasion offered me the opportunity to be in front of the camera.
The filming of six one-hour shows allowed me to get off the tourist trails of Quebec. I went to meet the personalities who make up the soul of Quebec’s regions. Captivated by their sometimes atypical work, these men and women offered me the opportunity to put down my camera and discover their lifestyle. From fishing the burgot in Gaspésie, to shoeing a horse in Kamouraska, and flying over Abitibi-Témiscamingue in a Cessna float plane, these adventures made my work fascinating! During these meetings, my camera was never far away…
