Birding in South Florida

With the Tamron 150-600mm zoom…

Daniel Dupont, a regular contributor to PHOTONews, used his Tamron 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 SP zoom lens on a recent Florida photo-excursion.

Tamron’s 150-600mm G2 (Model A022) is a unique lens, offering fast autofocus and an ideal focal length range for wildlife and sports photography. It’s vibration compensation system enables you to hand-hold the lens at moderate shutter speeds when used on Nikon and Canon DSLR bodies – the Sony model does not feature lens VC – it works with the in-camera image stabilization system.

Designed for full-frame DSLR cameras and now compatible with Canon’s and Nikon’s newest mirrorless cameras when used with an adapter, this lens delivers even greater telephoto reach on APS-C DSLR models. For example, on a Nikon D500 or D7500, the focal length is equivalent to 225mm-900mm.

For the utmost in customizing the lens performance and to update lens firmware, the 150-600mm is compatible with the optional Tamron Tap-In Console.
